To all
church members and well wishers, we would like to extend our best
wishes and an enthusiastic welcome to all of you who have gathered
here to attend and participate in our 66th Church/School
anniversary celebration. You are "Welcome." We have been looking
forward to seeing you. We have awaited this occasion with much
joy! A weekend of observing our church and school history is a
weekend of glorifying, exalting, magnifying, and uplifting the
name of Jesus.
It has been 66 years since the founders - our faithful,
dedicated and fearless leaders, the early guiding lights - began
transforming Mother Mary Mission Church and School into what it is
today.
Let us be mindful, as good as things were for 66 years, there
are even better, more daring, more rewarding, and more exciting
days to come. As we celebrate our 66th Anniversary, let us be
thankful and mindful of the history that we share as a
church/school and community working together for Christ. We must
use our history as a building block for the future. We
continue with renewed hope and commitment to fill a vital place in
this community with fresh spiritual insight and acknowledgement of
the supreme power and authority of God.
Let us pay special tribute to the many people over the years,
which helped to make this day possible, for without their
commitment, determination, and dedication we would not have a
solid foundation from which to build. |

| Mother Mary School is a Catholic
School teaching basic Catholic doctrine to students regardless of
race, color, religion, or creed. The faculty and staff believe
that every child is unique as a child of God. Our aim is to
educate the whole child: spiritually, physically, intellectually,
and according to his/her potential. We aim to direct each child to
recognize his/her dignity and to maintain it, to develop his
personality and character, and to improve his/her own way of life
in cooperation with all members of society in this world of
change.
Together the faculty, students, and parents strive to base
their lives on tile principles of justice through God's law in
accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Every Catholic school in the school system of the Archdiocese
of Mobile shall admit students; regardless of gender, race, color,
or national origin, to all the rights and privileges, programs,
and activities generally accorded or made available to students at
the school. The schools shall not practice discrimination
regarding gender, race, color, national and ethnic origin in
employment.
Parents and Guardians who are primarily responsible for the
care and education of their children are expected to give support
and cooperation to the above ideals. |
